Okay, folks! My book was given to me by My_BBOS as she remembered that this book was something I talked about reading at my grandmother's house years ago. She gave me a copy dated 1911. Really, really nice. I saw this over at Maureen's who got it from Susan who got it from Know It All and I also read some of the others.
Here are the instructions:
- Grab the nearest book. ('nearest' meaning the nearest book. Don't rummage around for the 'cool' or 'intellectual' book)
- Open the book to page 123.
- Find the fifth sentence.
- Post the text of the next three sentences on your blog along with these instructions
From The Harvester by Gene Stratton-Porter
"What are you piling it there for?"
"For your free ward. I don't was a penny of it. I wouldn't keep it, not if I was starving."
